Encompassing 70’s hard rock, progressive blues, acoustic folk and psychedelia, Stone Sole River have created a sound that is like no other. A band described as having one foot in the past and one foot firmly in the future, their music will take you on a journey through genre and time, constantly evolving and developing with every beat.
Since their debut performance SSR have built up a strong reputation
playing in venues all across the North of England. Their outstanding sets and exceptional stage presence are always well received and as a result they are often asked back time and time again to packed out audiences. The past few years have seen Stone Sole River perform with luminaries of 60’s and 70’s rock such as The Blue Oyster Cult, Robin Trower, Mountain, Carl Palmer (ELP) and Wishbone Ash to name but a few.
This unique three-piece comprises of lead singer and guitarist Michael Parker who recruited the creative talents of drummer Carl Meehan and more recently Lee Buckle on bass guitar to create a dynamic, powerful sound with an enviable following. The diverse range of original songs that give Stone Sole River their unique and sought after sound are formed with contributions from all three members. Each person offers their own style, influence and creativity to produce a mixed bag of musical sounds which appeals to both muso’s and musical novices alike.
Stone Sole River have recently finished recording and producing their
debut, full-length album ‘Terra Mama’. A piece of work which has taken over a year to complete but was well worth every second. From succinct three minute pieces to impressive ten minute epics this album is fulfilling and satisfying all by itself... yet only a taste of what is to come!
